Applying the science of Positive Psychology to improve well-being at state and corporate entities

Enhanced well-being is associated with improved work performance and satisfaction, more supportive relationships, better health, greater positive perceptions of self and others, increased sociability, likability, co-operation, altruism, coping, conflict resolution, creativity and problem solving (Lyubomirsky, King & Diener, 2005).

Participants are taught strategies to increase experiences of positive emotions (happiness) and flow (the sense of being fully immersed in a task). Also taught are exercises for building more supportive relationships, and enhancing feelings of purpose and achievement. Examples of topics covered include setting valued goals, applying character strengths, practising relaxation and meditation, building strong relationships.

Tailored to meet organisational needs

Workshops are based on clinical experience and up-to-date evidence-based materials and are tailored to meet the specific needs of clients, as determined by pre-training consultations with key personnel plus staff surveys.
